Graphite Commissions are made using water soluble graphite and paper. Essentially I am painting with graphite. These images end up drying matte with a really subtle sheen, just like a pencil texture. This material creates a really unique work of art with a nostalgic feeling.

I take on commissions the first week of each month January-November and all pieces are completed by the end of the following month - this is a 6-8 week process with 2 opportunities for feedback and requested changes. The subject matter which suits these commissions best are old family photos and candid moments, especially images with high contrast.
